HOW TO FIX BASEBAND/ NO SIM BUG ON CUSTOM ROMs

Prerequirements:

*A windows running PC 
*Java development kit should be installed [software]DOWNLOAD
*Tickle My Android [tool]DOWNLOAD


Step 1:
*Extract Tickle My Android.zip  [ link above]

*Extract ur base ROM [Working ROM]

*Go to System / Framework

*Now copy “telephony- common.jar”

*Open Tickle my android / Workarea2 / _in (folder) 

*Now go back and Run “Tickle my android.exe”

*Now, Press “2”

*Then again press “2”,  

*Now Press “1”.. Then press “Y”…it will decompile Telephony.jar

*Now go To “ Working” ( Folder)

*On search bar, Search “Mediatekril”..and press enter

*Now copy “MediatekRil.smali” to ur Desktop [ or anyother location…..we need this file later]


Step 2:
*Go to “in” folder and Delete “telephony-common.jar” that we have earlier copied

*Then go to “working” folder and Delete “telephony-common”(folder)

Step 3:
*Extract ur Port ROM [The ROM which u r trying to fix]

*Copy and decompile “Telephony-common.jar”…….The process for decompiling is same as that we did for decompiling base ROM’s telephony-common.jar…..[reffer step 1]

Step 4:
*Now after decompiling, 

*Copy “MediatekRil.Smali” (that we have earlier copied to desktop!)

*Go to: working/telephony-common.jar/ smali / com / android/ internal/ telephony……….And paste it here 

*Now  on pop up window, click “replace file in destination”


Step 5:
*Now run “Tickle My Android.exe”

*Press “2”

*Press “3”

*Press “1”

*Press “Y”…….Now Recompiling will be started…….

*Once it is completed, go to: “Out” folder….

*U will find a new Patched “Telephony-common.jar”


Step 6:
*Now copy the new patched “Telephony-common.jar”and paste it in ur port ROM’s  “framework” folder and click replace…..

*Now compare ‘Telephony Lines” in Build.prop of ur Port ROM with ur base ROM…….

NOW UR ROM WILL BE PATCHED AND …..U CAN ZIP IT AND FLASH IT
